Have your "Vagrus" be a character you can use in combat, hell, he/she already has stats that appear to be used in combat, and extra set of "elite" fighting hands would make a big difference.ģ. Add additional equipment slots and gear types to make companions more substantial and powerful.Ģ. In that line here are some possible balance changes/features/improvements that I think will honestly make the game much much more fun, and to improve the balance:ġ. If I compare this to similar games like mount and blade, or economically analogous games like star trader or the X series, this falls very short (balance wise) in a big way. As currently there is no viable way to "reinvest" or "scale up" The "optimal" caravan size can be obtained early.and that's not a good thing, as you'll forever be this frightened trader scraping by with no hope of bettering your situation or being able to move onto bigger and brighter things. This just makes the game far more tedious as normally you would be able to re-invest your earnings to improve your "caravan" to thereby scale up income. So what's the other option if you can't go tall, go wide? If you go wide, i.e a ton of soldiers/goons, loads of pack mules etc, you'll quickly run out of supplies making large caravans also useless. Going tall (elite small force) isn't so much an option because there's a limit to how "elite" you can gear up your caravan, so in the end you'll get steamrolled by a large enemy force, and bar that, you'll never really be able to scale up trading as going tall still limit to how many pack animals etc you can have. If you get rich you should have the option to either go tall or go wide, except right now there is no option for neither. The current build of the game makes large caravans unsustainable, food runs out too quick, moral penalty for a large group, if you ever get attacked if some workers get picked off suddenly you're operation is crippled, etc. Will say firstly that I really like the concept, art, lore, etc etc BUT
